§ Mr. A. Lewisasked the Minister of Transport whether, with a view to preventing road accidents, he will make it compulsory for cyclists to use cycle tracks where these are provided.
§ Mr. Barnes:I propose to defer consideration of the question whether the use of cycle tracks by cyclists should be made obligatory, until tracks which are satisfactory alternatives to the carriageway have been constructed on a fairly wide scale.
