§ Mr. KeyI regret that no precise figures are available. Local authorities are already empowered under the Housing Act, 1936, to make advances for the purposes of carrying out repairs in cases where they consider that, having regard to the cost of repairs, or the financial position of the applicant, it is reasonable to give him such assistance.
