HC Deb 26 February 1946 vol 419 c361W
Mr. Zilliacus

asked the Secretary of State for War the duties, apart from their occasional use as Russian interpreters, of the Polish liaison officers serving with His Majesty's Forces in Europe; and whether he will give an assurance that only such liaison officers as are known to be loyal to the Polish Government will be allowed to perform liaison duties with regard to Polish displaced persons.

Mr. Lawson

The duties of the Polish liaison officers serving with His Majesty's Forces in Europe are the administration of the Polish Displaced Persons and arrangements connected with their repatriation to Poland. Any who show reluctance to collaborate with the Polish Provisional Government's Military Mission are removed and replaced.
