HC Deb 26 February 1946 vol 419 cc358-9W
Colonel Thornton-Kemsley

asked the Secretary of State for War what are the Regulations governing the granting of agricultural leave at the present time; and if it is permissible for commanding officers to grant more than 56 days leave to any one individual in the year expiring June, 1946.

Mr. Lawson

Subject to certain conditions agricultural workers serving at home and in the B.A.O.R. may be allowed agricultural leave up to 28 days during the period from 1st December, 1945, to 30th June, 1946. An extension of up to a further 28 days may be authorised in the case of inclement weather. Commanding officers may not grant more than a total of 56 days' agricultural leave during this period.
