HC Deb 21 February 1946 vol 419 c273W
Viscount Hinchingbrooke

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what are the sources of payment for purchases from the U.S.A. since the termination of lend-lease; and to what extent such payments are held in suspense account to be debited against the dollar loan.

Mr. Dalton:

From our dollar resources, with the aid of the lend-lease settlement. There is no suspense account for this purpose.
