§ Flight - Lieutenant Haireasked the Minister of Works whether, in view of the increased interest in Parliament and the presence of many visitors in London in connection with the present U.N.O. Conference, he will make such improvements in the lighting of the Palace of Westminster as will allow it to be seen at its best.
§ Mr. TomlinsonThe reductions in lighting made in the Palace of Westminster during the war have been fully restored in Committee and Reading Rooms, but in the interest of fuel economy, it has not been considered proper to restore full lighting in corridors and lobbies for the present.
