Mr. Hobson

asked the Minister of Health if he will give particulars of the land which the Middlesex County Council has bought, or is in negotiation for the purchase of, including the Northwich Park golf course, Wembley; and if he will give the purchase price and the previous rateable value of this land, and state the use it is intended to make of it.

Mr. Bevan

The Middlesex County Council are proceeding with the purchase of approximately 192 acres of land, including the Northwich Park golf course, as a public open space. The purchase price is£188,500 and the previous rateable value in respect of the land occupied by the Golf Club was£540. The remainder is agricultural land not subject to rating.
