§ Mr. Rentonasked the Under-Secretary of State for Air how many huts formerly used for accommodation of R.A.F. or U.S.A.A.F. personnel in Huntingdonshire are now unoccupied and unused.
§ Mr. StracheyThe number of huts in use at Royal Air Force stations is subject to such fluctuations, mainly on account of movements connected with demobilisation, that I am afraid the figures for which the hon. Member has asked are not readily available. I can, however, say that at seven of the 11 airfields in Huntingdonshire about 70 per cent, of the available accommodation is occupied by members of the Royal Air Force; the remaining huts there may also be needed. I should add that the accommodation at the four stations which the Royal Air 113W Force does not require at present is to be transferred to other Government use.
