§ 70. Mr. Griersonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether, in view of the large profits shown in the last Return of the State Management 423W public-houses in Carlisle, he will favourably reconsider the application of the managers, manageress and staff for wage increases.
§ Mr. OliverMy right hon. Friend has now received a request from the Civil Service Union, which represents the managers of the public houses in the Carlisle State Management District, for the resumption of negotiations on their claim for an adjustment of the basic rates of pay, and arrangements are being made for an interview with them for this purpose.
