§ 87. Mr. Turtonasked the Secretary of State for Air what steps he has taken to provide for the training of the R.A.F. Regiment in training areas now used by the War Department.
§ Mr. P. Noel-BakerMy Department and the War Office have been trying to make arrangements for the joint use of training areas by the Army and the R.A.F. Regiment. We have found it possible to arrange for the Regiment to use an Army anti-aircraft range in Somerset. Unfortunately, however, there are at present no other Army training areas in this country388W that could be used for the Regiment. My Department has, therefore, to take over from the War Office the training area at Spaunton Moor, which is, I think, the district in which the hon. Member is particularly interested.
