Mr. Sutcliffeasked the Assistant Postmaster-General if he will reinstate, during 1947, the evening letterbox attached to omnibuses from districts adjoining large provincial towns, in view of their usefulness in enabling people to answer correspondence after the day's work in time to catch the night mail.
§ Mr. BurkeIf the hon. Member will furnish particulars of any cases he has in mind, I will look into them but, generally speaking, the facility is open to a number of objections and is only used if a satisfactory service cannot be provided in other ways.
