§ Mr. AlexanderThere are at present 157 areas exceeding 1,000 acres, owned, leased or used under Defence Regulations 51 and 52, totalling about 1,860,000 acres. Sixty-four of these, totalling about 910,000 acres are either being cleared of unexploded missiles, or being derequisitioned. The other 93 areas are either wholly or partly in use, or are under consideration for future use. The requirements of the Services are now under consideration by the Interdepartmental Committee on Service Land Requirements.
