Colonel Gomme-Duncanasked the Secretary of State for Scotland why orders have been given to farmers in Scotland employing prisoner-of-war labour that, unless time sheets, Form No. P.W.5, revised German, are sent in weekly, such labour will be withdrawn; whether he is aware that these forms were previously sent in monthly; and whether he will take immediate steps to withdraw this order which will interfere with food production.

§ Mr. WestwoodIt has always been a condition of the supply of billeted prisoners of war that the employing farmer should submit time sheets weekly to the agricultural executive committee. Breach of this or any other of the conditions on which billetee prisoners of war are supplied involves a withdrawal of the labour. All farmers are made aware of the conditions and of the penalty attaching to a breach of them, and sign an undertaking to comply with them before prisoners are supplied.
