§ 138. Mr. T. J. Brooksasked the Minister of Pensions if he will make a statement on the wearing of civilian clothes by ex-Service patients in his Department's hospitals.
§ Mr. Wilfred PalingI am pleased to be able to say that arrangements are being made whereby disabled ex-Servicemen in my Department's hospitals may in future, if they so desire, wear their civilian suits when on pass or leave from the hospitals. The arrangements are already working in two hospitals, and it is expected that the scheme will be in full operation by the beginning of the New Year.
