§ 88. Sir G. Jeffreysasked the Minister of Town and Country Planning if he is aware that the diversion of footpaths on housing sites acquired by the local authorities before the passing of the Acquisition of Land Act, 1946, can only be done under the procedure laid down by the Highways Act, 1835; and, as this is expensive, if he will introduce legislation to meet this difficulty.
