§ 101. Mr. Symondsasked the Minister of National Insurance if he will give an early indication as to what payment for their services is to be given to the approved societies who have been asked by him to commence at once a considerable amount of work in connection with Circular A.S. 360 under the National Insurance Act, 1946; and if he is aware that the secretaries of many such societies are part-time workers who are reluctant to commence this work without definite information regarding remuneration; and that, unless an early decision is reached, it may be impossible to get the work completed within the stipulated time.
§ Mr. J. GriffithsThe arrangements for meeting the cost of the work in question have been agreed with the Approved Societies' Advisory Committee concerned, and a Circular on the subject will be reaching societies within the next day or two.
