122. Mr. Patonasked the Secretary of State for Air why, on 25th November last, all units of 24 Group (Technical Training) received instructions to destroy all copies of "Soviet News" held in reference libraries and information rooms; and by whom this instruction was issued.
§ Mr. P. Noel-BakerFollowing a decision to stop the free distribution of "Soviet News" within the Royal Air Force, Technical Training Command were informed by my Department that they could dispose of old or unwanted copies as waste. In passing through several hands this was by mistake turned into a definite instruction to destroy them.
