HC Deb 09 December 1946 vol 431 c182W
Mr. Langford-Holt

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty whether he is aware that, 15 months after cessation of hostilities with Japan, no air branch of the R.N.V.R. has been formed; that flying personnel already demobilised will have lost touch with the service and that delay in the formation of such a reserve will prejudice its ultimate success; and if he will take steps to form the branch without further delay.

Mr. Dugdale

The arrangements for reserves of flying and air maintenance personnel are at present receiving urgent consideration.
