§ Mr. BevanAs post-vaccinal encephalitis is not a notifiable disease the number of cases cannot be stated. The numbers of deaths of children under one year of age in England and Wales in the years mentioned were as follow: —1939—none; 1940–4; 1941—none; 1942–2; 1943–3; 1944–2.
