asked the Minister of Food whether, in the interests of home horticulture, he will consider limiting imports of lettuce and tomatoes while these commodities are out of season in this country.

If my hon. Friend is suggesting that imports of lettuce and tomatoes should be reduced during the period of the year when home production is entirely insufficient to meet the demand, the answer is "No, Sir."
