HC Deb 09 December 1946 vol 431 cc180-1W
Mr. Swingler

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the estimated amount of our adverse balance of trade in the first 10 months of 1946 which was due to payments made abroad as a result of the commitments of our Armed Forces, the maintenance of civil government in Germany and elsewhere, and relief and assistance to other countries, respectively.

Mr. Dalton

I must ask my hon. Friend to wait for the full 1946 balance of payments figures.
