§ Mr. J. HyndThe Military Governor who is our representative on the Allied Control Council is a Marshal of the Royal Air Force; his deputy is a serving Army Officer. The four Regional Commissioners are civilians, one being a retired Army officer and another a retired R.A.F. officer. The head of Military Government of the British sector of Berlin is a serving Army officer. There are 14 Regierungs-bezirk Commanders; nine are serving Army officers; the remaining five are civilians and include two retired Territorial Army Officers and two retired R.A.F. officers.
