§ Mr. Isaacs1,747 applications for training under, the Vocational Training Scheme have been received in North Staffordshire and 1,508 applications have been accepted. The number of applicants still awaiting training is 464, the details by trades being as follow:

Facilities in other parts of the Midlands Region are also available for North Staffordshire applicants willing to leave home for training, and at the present time 57 trainees are in training outside the district in the following trades:
