HC Deb 02 December 1946 vol 431 c22W
Sir H. Morris-Jones

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General why letters posted in the House of Commons before 1 p.m. frequently take two days to reach their destination in Ruthin, North Wales.

Mr. Burke

Letters posted up to 6.15 p.m. in the House of Commons boxes and up to 6.30 p.m. in the House Post Office should be included in the first delivery in Ruthin on the following morning. If the hon. Member will let me have details of any specific cases of delay, including, if possible, the covers of the letters, I will gladly have special inquiries made.
