§ Mr. Digbyasked the Minister of Health whether he will increase the maximum expediture permitted on houses erected by private enterprise where it can be shown that abnormal site conditions exist or where in rural areas it is desired to install sewage disposal plant, respectively.
§ Mr. BevanLocal authorities were authorised in a circular issued on 6th March, of which I am sending the hon. Member a copy, to allow the normal maximum selling price to be exceeded by the amount by which the cost of a developed site exceeds the normal, where they are satisfied that the cost is reasonable and unavoidable.
§ Mr. Digbyasked the Minister of Health whether he will agree to increase the maximum expenditure permitted on houses erected by private enterprise in cases where he approves a higher rate of expenditure per house than the £1,100 without site by the relevant local authority for the erection of its own houses.
