§ 122. Mr. Sutcliffeasked the Secretary of State for War why the demobilisation of linemen, L. of C. Signals, Southern Italy, in Group 39, is being deferred, although numbers of them are now employed as company clerks, storemen or on police duties.
§ Mr. BellengerMen in Group 39 are not yet due for release, and there is therefore no question of their being deferred at this stage. I cannot say what provisional warnings may have been given locally to individuals but if the hon. Member has a particular case in mind I will, of course, have investigations made.
