§ Sir A. Salterasked the Minister of Food whether, in view of the statements on the subject recently issued in connection with the allocations under consideration by the Combined Food Board, he will now state the amount of the wheat stocks in this country and, on a comparable basis, the stocks at the same season in 1938 and 1939.
§ Sir B. Smith:I know of no statements made in connection with matters under consideration by the Combined Food Board which would justify any departure from the practice of not making public the amount of the stock of any individual food commodity controlled by the Ministry of Food.
