HC Deb 30 April 1946 vol 422 cc5-6W
Mrs. Manning

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury on what date, approximately, the 1921 and 1922 Select Committee's Reports on Performing Animals ceased to be purchasable at H.M.S.O.; why they were not reprinted; and, in view of the widespread feeling against cruelty to animals and the belief that performing animal acts can be produced without cruelty, he will arrange for both Reports to be reprinted with a reliable index, and sold at a low price.

Mr. Glenvil Hall:

The 1921 Report has not been available since 1930, and the 1922 Report since 1935. In neither case has there been a sufficient subsequent demand to warrant reprinting.
