§ Mr. Lawasked the Secretary of State for War when he proposes to release the Lex garage in Kensington Place; and whether he is aware that the continued 480W occupation of these premises by his Department is the cause of great inconvenience to the residents in that area.
§ Mr. Lawson:I am fully aware of the need for returning garages to their normal use as early as possible, and all garages occupied by my Department are released as soon as the military need for them ceases. The Lex garage, Kensington Place, provides workshop accommodation for the Car Company. R.A.S.C. serving Headquarters, London District. There is no alternative garage accommodation in London at the disposal of my Department, and I regret that I cannot at present forecast the date by which the garage in question can be released.
