§ Mr. Henderson Stewartasked the Under-Secretary of State for India how many British residents in India have secured passages home in each of the months of January to March inclusive; what numbers it is estimated will secure passages during each of the next three months; and what further shipping facilities are to be made available during the present summer.
§ Mr. A. Henderson:The number of home passages provided for British residents in India in each of the months January to March inclusive was 1,048, 369 and 1,059, respectively. In April it is expected that over 1,000 will be provided and it is hoped to improve on this figure during the following months.
