§ Mr. Linsteadasked the Minister of Health, if he will indicate, in respect of the latest convenient period, what proportion of plans for new housing estates contain accommodation for old people.
§ Mr. Bevan:I regret that information giving the number of dwellings on plans approved for new housing estates which are intended solely for the accommodation of old people is not available. Of the 57,137 houses for which tenders had been approved by the 28th February, 2,564 were one bedroom dwellings. A large number of these are designed for the housing of old people.
