§ Mr. Leonard:There is no recognised. world price for lead at the present time. Prices for current supplies are now under negotiation with the producers and I am not able to give particulars, but those paid by His Majesty's Government for supplies during the latter part of February and March, covering 24,000 tons, were based on a price of 7 cents per lb. (approximately £39 per ton) f.o.b. port of shipment to this country.
