§ 107. Lieut.-Colonel Liptonasked the Minister of Transport whether he will rescind the regulation that three axles must be fitted to public service vehicles 30 feet in length.
§ 110. Mr. Perrinsasked the Minister of Transport if, in view of the demand in the export market for public service vehicles built with two axles, he is prepared to receive a deputation representative of trade union and employer interests in the industry to discuss the merits and advantages of now allowing all public service vehicles, within the present permitted maximum length of 30 feet, being built with two axles.
§ Mr. Barnes:I am not satisfied that the change proposed would be in the interest of the public. A deputation from the interests mentioned was received on 17th January, and I am aware of their views.
