HC Deb 04 April 1946 vol 421 c242W
Major Ramsay

asked the Minister of Transport whether it will be possible to run later trains from Aberdeen to London during the summer months, both L. N. E. R. and L. M. S.; and if he will also arrange for the running of sleeping cars on the latter railway.

Mr. Barnes:

Owing to their difficulties as regards staff and rolling stock, I am afraid the companies will not be able to effect these improvements in the near future. The question will, however, be borne in mind as conditions improve.
