HC Deb 02 April 1946 vol 421 c141W
1. Mr. Erroll

asked the Secretary of State for War how many officers were passed out successfully on courses at the Military College of Science during the years 1940–45 inclusive; how many held Regular commissions, and how many T.A. or temporary commissions.

Mr. Lawson:

One thousand, eight hundred and fifty-two officers passed courses at the Military College of Science during the period 1940–45. Eighty-nine of these were British Regular officers; the remainder held either Territorial Army or Emergency commissions or were in the Indian or Dominion Armies. I regret that separate information is not readily available as to the numbers of Indian or Dominion officers. These figures do not include a number of officers who took short care and maintenance or refresher courses of a fortnight's duration.
