§ Lieut. - Colonel Corbettasked the Under-Secretary of State for Air, what will be the future use of Shobdon aerodrome in Herefordshire, with particular reference to the use of the administration buildings, barracks and hangars.
§ Mr. Strachey:We are just starting to use the airfield at Shobdon to provide part of the extra storage space we need so that requisitioned industrial premises may be released and other R.A.F. Stations closed down. All the hangars and technical buildings will be required and any empty parts of the camp may prove useful for housing German prisoners. All the land has been let for cultivation or grazing. We have not yet made plans for the ultimate disposal of this airfield.
