§ Sir G. Foxasked the Minister of Labour whether, in view of the fact that the release concession to students of scholarship standard up to Group 49 was made before the end of the Japanese war, arrangements can now be made to extend the concession to higher groups.
§ Mr. IsaacsNo, Sir. The special arrangement was made to enable the Universities to resume their Arts courses, for which purpose the release of 3,000 men with approximately three years' military service was authorised. This number can be obtained without going beyond group 49.
