Robertsasked the Minister of Health whether the Government proposes to continue the arrangements under which housing associations, as defined by the Housing Act, 1936, are entitled to receive for houses, which have been built to let, the same grants from the Exchequer as the houses would receive if provided by the local authority.
§ Mr. BevanMy hon. Friend presumably has in mind arrangements made and approved under Section 94 of the Housing Act, 1936, as amended by Section 8 of the Housing (Financial Provisions) Act, 1938. Any proposals submitted by local authorities under those provisions would have to be considered individually on merits in the light of general housing policy.
