§ Sir A. Gridleyasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will now implement the recommendations contained in the First Interim Report of the Departmental Committee on the Patents and Designs Acts, dated 12th March, 1945, as to the procedure to be adopted in connection with an extension of the term of patents where the patentee has suffered loss through the war; and when he proposes to introduce the necessary legislation.
§ Sir S. CrippsI am fully aware of the importance of the matter and am now considering whether it will be possible to introduce early legislation to deal with it. I hope to be in a position to give a more definite answer in the course of the next week or two.
