§ Colonel Crosthwaite-Eyreasked the Minister of Health whether he will alter the present regulation governing subsistence payments to those suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis so that payments can be made to all sufferers from this disease and not, as at present, only to those cases where a quick cure may be expected.
§ Mr. BevanThe powers under which tuberculosis allowances are paid do not enable me to extend the present scheme as suggested. Provision for disability, including tuberculosis and without the limitation in question, forms part of the forthcoming National Insurance Scheme.
