§ Captain Gammansasked the Attorney-General when he expects that the trial of the major war criminals will commence; and if agreement has been reached with the major Allied Powers as to the procedure of the trials.
The Attorney-GeneralThe chief prosecutors representing the major Allied Powers have agreed on the form of indictment against the major war criminals of the European Axis whose names have been published and have duly signed it. The Tribunal of Judges is now meeting in Berlin to settle the rules of procedure and to fix the date of the opening of the trial. These are matters for the Tribunal, but the chief prosecutors have submitted an agreed draft of suggested rules of procedure for consideration by the Tribunal and it is expected that the trial will commence early in November.
