§ Sir J. Lucasasked the Secretary of State for War what requests have been made to him for the employment of the Polish troops in Scotland and elsewhere in the United Kingdom, for the army of occupation in Germany; and if, in view of the need for demobilising as many British troops as possible at an early date, he will consider employing these Polish troops in this way.
§ Mr. LawsonAt the end of the German war arrangements were in hand for the move of the bulk of the Polish Forces in Scotland to Field-Marshal Montgomery's Command. With the recognition of the Polish Provisional Government of National Unity it became necessary that the future of the Polish Forces should become a subject of negotiation between the two Governments. These negotiations are now proceeding.
