§ Sir S. CrippsRepresentations have from time to time been made on this matter, and it has received the most careful consideration. Title deeds and similar documents were expressly excluded from the definition of goods which could be insured under the War Damage Act, and consequently any alteration of the position would need legislation. I cannot hold out any hope of its being possible to propose legislation on the subject.
