§ Mr. Ellis SmithI have considered the memorandum from the North Wales Post-War Development Committee, and I fully appreciate the serious economic position of certain parts of North Wales. In pursuance of the Government's plan for maintaining a high and stable level of employment, encouragement is being given to the establishment of new industries in all areas likely to suffer from heavy and 743W prolonged unemployment. I am glad to say that some progress has already been made in the development of new projects in North Wales.
