HC Deb 09 October 1945 vol 414 c53W
Mr. Bartlett

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will ensure that special leave is granted to men in the B.A.O.R. who are following postgraduate courses so that they may sit for their examinations in this country.

Mr. Lawson

I regret I cannot agree to the grant of extra leave for this purpose. Men in B.A.O.R. are eligible for 12 days' leave in the United Kingdom approximately every six months. Those who wish to sit for an examination may apply to have their leave advanced or retarded to suit the examination.
