asked the Under Secretary of State for India for what purpose, on 28th September, 1945, a rule made by the Government of India continued to prohibit publication of the accounts of certain companies operating in India; and whether the rule has now been revoked.

The repeal of Rule 45B of the Defence of India Rules, 1939, restricting the publication of information relating to public utility undertakings in India, is under active consideration by the Government of India and a decision may be expected soon.
