§ Colonel Thornton-Kemsleyasked the Minister of Health if his attention has been directed to the recommendation made by Mr. Justice Wrottesley, at Kent Assizes, that identity cards should indicate whether the holder is married or single and that couples should be required to produce their cards before they are married; and whether he will adopt this recommendation and in this way make bigamy less easy.
§ Mr. BevanQuite apart from certain practical difficulties inherent in present circumstances, this suggestion would involve legislation. I will, however, bear it in mind in connection with the review of the National Registration Act, 1939.
