§ Mrs. Nicholasked the Minister of Education what educational purpose is achieved by the recent refusal of her Department to permit a variation of the school holidays in order to allow an occasional lengthening of the main summer 1752W holiday, in view of the fact that, in some cases, school certificate results are not published until mid-September; and is she aware that this refusal leads to disorganisation of this work of the winter term in secondary aided and maintained grammar schools.
