Requirements for priority passengers are heavier in the direction King's Cross-Edinburgh than in the reverse direction, with the result that I was able to release permanently more sleeping berths for booking by the public on the train from Edinburgh than on the train from King's Cross. I am considering whether it would now be possible to release a few more berths on the north-bound trains on certain days in the week.
