HC Deb 27 November 1945 vol 416 c1254W
Mrs. Manning

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will now arrange for the recall of anti-gas equipment to stores in order to lighten the load with which Service men and women have to travel and to release those men whose sole duty it is to check in and out the anti-gas equipment of postings.

Mr. Lawson

No, Sir, but no troops in the United Kingdom need carry this equipment, either when travelling on leave, or when posted overseas. Very little work is involved in checking it in and out.
